It's all easy: zonds of people just buy shit. They bought shit 10 years ago, they buy shit these days, they will be paying for even more shit (casual games, online games, browser games, you name it) in the future.
Honestly, I don't think I will be even following games news in 5-7 years. The industry is continuosly moving away from my interests.
Casual game does not automatically equal shit.
Also:
* Roller Coaster Tycoon - great game
* SimCity 3000 - decent game
* Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
* Age Of Empires II - never played, but meant to be decent
* Starcraft - great game by all accounts
* Half-Life - great game
* Command & Conquer 2: Tiberian Sun - decent game
* Flight Simulator - excellent sim
* Frogger - oh well
* Baldur's Gate - very good game
* Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2 - erm
* Wheel Of Fortune - erm x 2
* Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Gold Edition - good game, I'm told
* Starcraft Expansion: Brood Wars - I'm told it's very good
* Need For Speed 3 - never played it
* Monopoly Game - well, it's Monopoly innit?
* Deer Hunter III - what
* Star Wars Episode I: Phantom Menace - not great
* Combat Flight Simulator - decent sim
That's not the worst set of games one would ever play, at least if you take out the hunting stuff.

Then again, you compare that with the terrible state of the RB in SS2 and we see its been happening for years!
The Rickenbacker isn't a product of stuff being dumbed down or tacked on; there wasn't enough time to complete it properly. Given more time, it could have been a lot better than it was.

True. Plants vs. Zombies is honestly not that bad.

* Half-Life
I loved Half-Life. Hard, sometimes, especially at the very end, but quite fun.

* Monopoly Game
I love Monopoly, but one of the big downsides is that it takes so long to play. The cool thing about Monopoly on the computer is that you can save a game and finish it later.

They don't. But one doesn't make an immersive simulator in the form of a casual game.

Happy birthday SS2! Here's to ten more years of panting and sweating in Shodan's corridors.

Way to move the goalposts.
