Hello friends! I was trying to start a multiplayer game of SS2 with one other friend but I immediately ran into a problem.
I was using Tunngle and I created the server and my friend joined. However everytime I clicked Host a Game in SS2, the "Host's IP Address is:" field was blank. I think this is a clear sign that I did something wrong? I don't think my friend trying to connect to my Tunngle IP would even do anything at that point.
So I tried the disconnect trick several times where I disabled my Ethernet previous to starting SS2 and then restarting it after but the field continued to remain blank.
I also tried the first solution here: (

But still to no avail.
Is there anybody that knows anybody with experience in running SS2 on multiplayer that knows any solutions?
Thanks.

the ingame ip detection doesn't really matter, just check your ip address via ipconfig, and as long as you use the proper one once connecting, it should work.

Alright thanks I'll try that.
EDIT: Turns out that we just needed to enable Direct Play thru our Windows Programs and Features. Runs great now, thanks!
