I have absolutely no idea why, but Shodan gives you 20 cyber modules if you pick up the worm launcher in Diego's room. I'd load that save you made before launching into the BotM and pick it up, it will speed up Energy 6 considerably. Though if I were you I'd off camera go all the way back to Recreation deck and grab an unbreakable EMP rifle, it doesn't help in the BotM but it helps in the endgame.

It's the quest reward for getting Diego's access card and searching his quarters. In the upcoming community patch this has been changed so that the CMs are awarded on opening the door.

I personally think it should be taken out entirely and replaced with perhaps a 20 CM pickup in the box. As far as I know this quest is not "handled" by Shodan, at least not directly, and is a side-quest not important to the game. It just seems odd to me, like a half-assed, last minute way to "fix" the insane imbalance of the worm launcher.

Hmmm, I'll have to think about loading up the last Rickenbacker save to grab the 20 cyber modules, because that's a pretty significant chunk. I've only ever grabbed the worm launcher a few times and so didn't recall getting the modules for it. I agree that it's a strange assignment of modules. Getting them for opening the door makes much more sense.
Although I might have to draw the line at the EMP rifle. As much as I'd like to have it, that sort of goes against the spirit of the random playthrough. I'll see if my weak attempt at having a moral compass for this playthrough holds up though haha.

This.
Shodan is not even directly aware of it - why is she suddenly shedding out CMs. Also, why on earth would she award CMs for it even if she knew the stuff is there or whatever. Player is not forced to use that thing, nothing noteworthy for Shodan has been archived. It's just silly.

Body of the Many and Where Am I? now online here:

I decided to take Bjossi's suggestions and load a previous save to grab the modules for the worm launcher, as well as trek back to the rec deck to grab an EMP rifle. This, plus my handy array of psi abilities allowed me to finish up the game with very few problems.
This has certainly been one of my favorite play-throughs. The random element is so intriguing and at the same time fascinating/frustrating/funny as to create an entirely new challenge and new feel for the game. I would highly recommend anyone to try it out for themselves to see what kind of results they get!
