You can also use Psi Pull.
Jumping onto the girder is the most fun method...

Speaking of secrets, "Pits of Doom" and the Hydro level... htf do you get out of the water where the monkeys are? I've jumped down there a couple of times in search of gold, but I can never get out again. Mantling doesn't work on the edges, at least not for me.
Anyway would you count the vent-shaft leading to some nanites a secret? I'm talking about the one you find when you get above the eggs in that long, rectangle shaped corridor in Hydro. That little shaft is the only place in the game where I've noticed that you're walking "outside" the map.
P.S. Where is the "Where am I?" part/level now again? Isn't that the freaking bonehoard... are we playing the same game here?
P.P.S Oh, right... the end level... but in my hearth of hearths "Where am I?" will always be the irritating part of bonehoard.

That water pool in Hydro is a pain, I simply don't jump into it...:erm:

Gold? In SS2? :weird:
Anyway, if you're getting right up on the edge of the platform and then mantling, try moving back a bit.

By gold he is probably talking about goodies; like cyber modules or nanites.

I figured as much, but I was questioning why he would use "gold" instead of using "cyber modules" or "nanites."

Actually he is probably referring to alluvial gold panning - disturbing gold from the sediment of a river bed by (in this case) jumping.

Meh, I'm still guessing he means goodies.

I will submit another area not mentioned so far. In the BOTM when you get to the room with the 2 sets of grinding teeth, look up as the first set opens. If you time it right there is a cave you can jump from the teeth and climb to that has some goodies. :o)

I'm not sure I understand you... there is a cave down there that has some goodies, and another one higher where the nerve cluster is. I don't know which other cave are you referring to.
I don't see it either. The only "cave" up there that I can see is the one with that nerve cluster. You can
"jump from the teeth and climb to" to it but it's not really a secret - it's part of the plot. Anyone else find some other "cave" up there that is reached via the teeth?

In the cargo bays on Engineering, if you press the button for one of the broken elevators, the message "lift out of order, maintenance has been notified" appears and a new maintenance robot will be sent toward you. Or maybe it was just a coincidence when I pressed the button twice and two maintenance robots came toward me.
