Why so much work though? The alpha footage alone would have sufficed for bragging rights.
Also if it was 'only' an old commercial chances are we'd have seen it before. Then there are details like how that prototypical late 90s tune pumps in the background at the end that make me think this is probably genuine.
And besides, it's not that bad. ;)

Perhaps we could lure Levine here to settle this?
Kolya on 27/6/2007 at 19:24
What if he says he made it? :sly:
Anyway, Irrational employees and ex LGlaziers visit here now and then. Someone might pick up on this. We'll see. Not that it was so important.

Interesting to see areas that I don't recognise, and others that I do that have different textures from the final game. That upgrade station area in Med looks horrendous!

I guess we could content with having a few bits and pieces floating around, and maybe some unknown team person will leak more unpublished content.
But is not going to be very likely.
Unless a few uncooked maps could be compiled and tried on a present SS2 installation.

On a side note, I wonder why they changed the muzzle flash sprite from the niftier looking one in the promo video; the rotating three pronged one in the final game looks rather meh.

Now if only someone out there would go and make a beta mod for SS2. That would rule :p.

no, not that i recall. if so, we kind of suck.
So, I guess not.

Well, it won't be confirmed until Levine actually replies.
Jeshibu on 29/6/2007 at 23:21
uh, he did?
Unless of course you expect me to be lying.
