Apologies if this has been posted before, I've done a search but didn't find this video posted anywhere,
Here is a promotional video of one of the early version of SS2;
(

There's a few details that are present in the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54919) early SS2 screenshots, but there's some things that I haven't seen before.
The music really sucks, and the video doesn't show off the true depth of SS2's gameplay, but it's still quite interesting to see some of the changes that occured during development.

Heh, somehow I keep thinking if they had marketed SS2 like that it would have sold a few more copies. And yeah, the music sucks. The poster implies it was original though.

I can't even recognise many of the areas shown in that video.

:laff: I love how "reload" is one of the words they use to show how awesome the game was gonna be. "Wow, a game where you can reload. I must buy..."
I did like the "She wants you back" tagline though, that's new to me.

Those slogan intermissions were stupid, okay. But I doubt they were trying to make a unique selling point of reloading. You could reload in SS1. It's more an "emotive speedup". RUN! SHOOT! JUMP! RELOAD! TURNAROUND!
You know what I mean.

yeah I got the idea, but they didn't do so well by putting it beside words that were intended to show the game's unique features. "Hack! Configure! Research! Modify! Explore!... Reload!"

Definately a trailer released in the beta days. If only they`d left the equip display with placing the weapon over the body template and all that. Looks wayyyyyy better.

Good lord, what monkey chose that music for the video? :weird:

I have a hard time believing this is real. Especiall the "OH YEAH" part. This isn't a slim jim commercial...:p

it may be just me but i think someone just took some old commercial or early released footage, mixed it up with some stupid music and released something to show how cool he is for having something that no one else has on the net
it has too much dumb things in it to be real
