I'm running SS2 on a XP Intel Dual Core machine. I've had no problems until here. I drop down the long vertical corridor and then, nothing. I land at the bottom and nothing happens. I try shooting the walls, running around that small area and nothing happens. Any help, please?
Edit, I made a quick video where I'm at the bottom of the vertical shaft. I must say, this is horribly disappointing given I had no issues whatsoever prior to this. Link: (

One more mention, when I jump into the vertical shaft, I become attracted to the walls, even if I jump straight downwards. As it stands, I can also jump quite high from the bottom of the shaft too, which is very odd not to mention shit.

Ah, so that's what's down there...
Definitely a problem. The "attraction to the walls" is normal; it's just an artifact of your partial weightlessness. You're not really attracted to them; it's simply your momentum carrying you into them. Same probably goes for the jumping.
Anyway, you may try copying the shodan.mis file from your CD into your root SS2 directory. Search this forum and the SS2 General Discussion forum too; this problem has been mentioned before. Assuming you haven't played the game before, if it works, you should be transported elsewhere when Shodan finishes speaking.

Thanks for the reply. I just copied the shodan.mis file from the CD to the root for SS2. No dice, I still fall all the way and nothing happens.
Also, I did search a bit before I posted but I was unable to find anything. Is there a more specific name for this issue?

Not really. I searched in ShockGen for "final level load" and found a thread about it, though. What worked there is making a completely new install and then dropping your save into it, so I'd recommend trying that. Saves are stored in the SS2 directory as "save_" followed by a number which should be one less than the number of the slot you saved in. So, if you saved in the third slot, the folder would be named "save_2".
Anyway, install SS2 again to a different location, install all of your mods, drop the save in there and try again.

If you don't have "SHODAN.dif" in your game dir already, try extracting the attached archive there.
