This mod replaces the terrain textures from System Shock 2's "Where Am I?" level with the exact textures and palette data from System Shock 1. The default SS2 textures are close, but Irrational redrew a few textures from scratch, and the palette used is different. This mod also adds animated textures to attempt to reproduce the palette cycling animations employed by SS1.
I've uploaded it over at StrangeBedfellows:

Hey cool. I guess that means you still plan to redo them for SHTUP? You said you liked the newer versions of these textures better.

Yeah, including this in SHTUP as-is would violate the "same but better" rule. I don't agree with all the changes Irrational made to the Citadel textures-- The grey wall tiles are undoubtedly superior, and IMHO should serve as the inspiration for anyone else looking to redo those textures. Ditto for the blue light panels (looks like the artist was going for a dimpled glass effect there, like you see on fluorescent fixtures). But then some of the other changes don't make so much sense, like completely changing the pattern of the green floor and wall textures.
Anyway, for SHTUP I'll try to combine the palette animations with Irrational's updated textures. Which probably won't be easy because they didn't use the same palette as SS1 did. Argh.

Ummm... it looks like System Shock.

Yes but a before and after pic. One with the "standard" where am I? level textures, and one with the replacements.

Why not just download and try it? Takes less time than waiting for screenshots.

yep...the after definately looks better.

 I'm not so sure about that. While the new texture looks a bit out of place the old ground texture looks horribly undersized and blurry.
