I know, you may be thinking, "How can something look LESS than nothing like something else?" Well, that game somehow managed it. It exceeded none more unlikeness and galloped proudly into negative similitude.

Well it's just my subjective opinion as someone who played both games. I don't suppose you played them both? Anyway it doesn't really matter and is not what's discussed here, sorry for the offtopic mention.

Ditto. I couldn't get into SS1 because of its awful controls. SS2, wow. Amazing game and good controls!

You can play 2 without playing 1. You won't miss out on much besides a couple references on the side and the story of 2 really goes its own way.
