Hey folks. Sorry if this is already covered somewhere, I've searched here & google and sped through a few walkthroughs and strat guides and can't find anything.

I've entered the cyber jack in the east side of the reactor deck. I can see this grey room but I can't find a way into it. There's a delicious looking purple data block and a switch in there, three cortex reavers and yet another entry/exit portal. Third time playing the game (first time on Night Dive's Enhanced Edition, I think it's great); I can remember seeing this room on my last play through, but it's been so long I can't remember if I ever got in there.
Anyone know a way in? Tried a bunch o' stuff, my brain hurts. Is there a second cyberjack elsewhere on this deck? I'd really like to get in there
before I start blowing shit up :)

That area is located on another level. You can see it when you enter cyberspace via the Level R cyberjack, but you'll get access to it from another level.
The cyberjack that gives access to that area is located in the Security Level (Level 8) - I just remembered because of the two Cortex Reavers we can see there. The switch in that room unlocks the detention cells.

Thank you kindly. D'Arcy, I'm debating whether to read your spoiler now or go about my business, miss the whole thing, read it later & kick myself ;)
This is one of my favourite games of all time. I love coming back to it and finding things like this that have me totally stumped like I've never played it before. Maybe it's dementia. I remembered some of the more obtuse stuff like the reactor codes and was determined to do this playthrough without help, but that ended when I found myself googling "where is Abe Ghiran's head?"
Cheers Valet2, that's a great treasure trove. I like the data violation areas, always figured them to be corrupt cyberspace scenery. Looking forward to seeing what they do with cyberspace in the remaster.

No need to read the spoiler, the only way you'll miss that room is if you fail to find the cyberjack on a level (the spoiler just basically says which level it is) :)

I remember seeing those distant Cortex Reavers early in the game, I tried a few attempts to find a secret way in there, but alas, it was accessed later in the game. :cheeky:

Finished it today. I'm sad... I didn't want it to end. In spite of my ridiculous games backlog I'm tempted to start another run right away, with a couple of difficulty settings bumped up. I took this one easy based on memories of my last run with the original controls, but with mouselook it was easier than I expected. I'm not doing 3333 though :)

Do 3332. That's what I usually do. I just don't like the imposed time limit, because it forces me to rush through the game instead of exploring everything.
