Ok, so I'm somewhere in the beginning of the Reactor mission. During one of my passes back through the early levels to pick up the level/computer access codes, I noticed I hadn't fully explored level 3. On attempt, I was told "No Maintenance Required". One walkthrough I read mentions you can't get to the maintenance sections until level 6 is nearly complete. Can anyone confirm this?
Basically, what I'm wondering is, how, assuming it's possible, can one get to the various extents on level 3 where the doors are locked stating "No Maintenance Required"?
EDIT :
Nevermind. I see (
http://shodan.wikia.com/wiki/Citadel_Station#Level_3_-_Maintenance) this site mentions :
"The four wings of the level remain closed unless maintainance is needed. They open when the hacker disables the jettison safety interlocks for the three groves and throws the malfunctioning master jettison enable control." I thought I had done this however.
EDIT #2 :
Yes I had. Though, for some reason the doors on Level 3 remain locked. Does anyone know what causes this?

I think you need to find the log that actually tells you what the maintenance problem is before the doors open - check the maintenance office on level 3.

I went to the Maintenance office but I already had the log and had read it. I've also read all the other logs from my extensive exploration. Weirdly they remain closed. Thanks though.
Does anyone else have any idea what the specific event in the game that causes them to be opened? Or if that can be undermined by proceeding non-linearly through the mission? Has anyone else seen this?

Have you tried inputting the relay number (428) that you get from the diagnostic log into the Relay Analyser keypad? The Relay Analyser is inside a room to the right of the elevator, when coming down from the Exec level.

Will do. This is a much better idea. I'm posting the save file below for anyone who is willing to take a crack at figuring out what the deal is with this. Thanks in advance.

I did this already, but the relay analyzer currently says "Relay functioning correctly".
I think what I must've done is created conflicting conditions in the game engine; something like repairing the relay, flipping switches on level 6, and somehow in the process reset the maintenance required for the door, eventually jettisoning the Beta Grove. This is why I was able to take on the Antenna Mission and am towards the end of the Reactor Mission despite the doors stating "No maintenance required".

I might be mis-remembering, but depending on the difficulty level you chose, you might not have to repair the relay at all.

That was exactly what I was going to ask: What is the plot level that you selected?
MidiV on 14/1/2014 at 08:07
I've checked your save - as previous members suggested it seems that you have selected low plot level so game is simplified.
Just go on and blow up the station - maintenance doors won't open.

Thanks to everyone for your input. I thought I had picked the default difficulty of 2.2.2.2, but I don't ever recall being asked for access cards nor do I have any in my inventory where I'd assume they'd be stored, so it seems you are right. This has been an on-and-off-again playthrough over a long period of time so I frankly have no idea what I actually picked, but I'd make an educated guess that the Mission is at 1.
Actually, this somewhat miffs me as I'm getting an incomplete experience. :erg:
