I've checked walkthroughs, et al. already, so please don't bite my head off. I'm on Level 2, and I can't find the switch for the Resurrection chamber. I've looked all over for the damm thing, and I cannot find it. Does it exist? Is it somewhere well hidden?

I never found it either, so I assume it doesn't exist.
(I haven't played SS1 that often, though, as I only came by it years after playing SS2)

Ah, damm. That makes the level much harder. Thanks.

Err, yes it does exist. On levels where there is no resurrection station activation switch, there is no resurrection *station*.
Unfortunately I don't have a game of it going at the moment so I can't show you where on the map you need to go to to find it. However, from my possibly-unreliable memory:
1. start from the room with the elevator to level 1.
2. turn right into the corridor, and then turn left at the end of that corridor.
3. keep going until the end of this corridor and turn left. There should be a bunch of crates in your way - destroy them with a weapon.
4. On the opposite side of the room you'll see two engineering doors with windows in them. Behind these doors is a network of ducts - explore these and you should find your way to a room with the resurrection station activation switch and an elevator that will take you up right next to the station itself.

Oops, my bad.
I should go and check that out...

Is it me, or is level 2 the level with the most avoidable stuff?
It seems to have miles of ducts and even entire sectors that I've not explored properly - either that, or they did a really good job of making it look bigger than it really is.

Woops, thanks to whoever moved this, I'm used to going into the forums through the front page, and as a result missed this forum completely.
Thanks to the people who posted, I'm having a hell of a time on level 3 and reactor, so I suppose I'll go back and raid deck 1 for the magnum and find that resurrection machine on level 2.
I never knew that non-mouselook games could be so fun...

If you've already cleared Level 2, then the resurrection chamber won't do you much good now. I hope you found the chambers on R and 3 though! Those levels are nasty enough even with them turned on.
The magnum will make life easier in general, but the magpulse is your best friend on level R and the laser rapier on level 3.

Dunno bout that man, you still have to come back later on to do a particular thing behind closed doors and its pretty tough sometimes with so many guys shooting at you.

Oh true, for some reason I thought he'd have already done that bit.
