Yeah, but you also mentioned to be playing in DOSbox. So this problem won't affect you since the emulation itself puts quite a load on your processor and you can additionally adjust the emulation speed. Roder's problem stems from the fact that he plays a very old game on a new system. You play it on an emulated "old system".

I don't think it has anything to do with how old or new your computer is. I play SS1 on a Core 2 Duo at 3.2 GHz without emulation. It works fine with just the hacked exe and mouse2kv and the fade out seems perfectly normal.

I can't kill Shodan either. It really sucks; I'm finally to the end of the game and I can't win.
How long should it take the screen to fill, and how many pulses should it take?
For me it's about 7 seconds, and I'm able to get off varying amounts...Is there any way I can get more? It seems I click and sometimes no Pulse comes out...Should I charge at Shodan? Should I keep away? I don't understand, its very annoying.

Oh, finally I got it. After about 20 tries...I read through the other topic (just click on where it says D'Arcy said from that other quote), and you need to time your pulses so that you're not clicking too much. After I did that, it was 2-3 tries and it worked.
That ending video wasn't very good...And the ones on youtube don't have any words like the one in the game...That could have been better...
BTW, how the hell did you get off the ship?

Any answer would be mere speculation, really. But the bridge section that you and SHODAN were in was separated from the station and made a beeline for Earth. Between Saturn and Earth lies a lot of time for an extraction of some kind to take place.
