Could be a bit tiresome though if, for instance, you'd spent a year or two lurking on the forums and finally decide to post something. You'd have to spam other people's threads for a bit until you could post what you actually wanted to. Seems somewhat counter-productive to me.

why not just make little emoticons of an ass or something and staple them to a person's profile for every stupid thread. When they have enough asses they have their thread privelages suspended

This might be a good excuse to allow avatars. How about forcing newcomers (not just people with <50 posts, but people that have been members for say, less than 2 months) to have something like this:

How about no?

Now that you're all finished beating up on the new guy - the answer is YES EA has copyrighted the System Shock franchise in 2006, what they plan to do with it - who knows. EA is a bizarre, greedy. power hungry corporation that believes that dumber games are better (can you say Sim City Societies?)
You can't dumb down SS2 and expect SS2 fans to like it - it's still the smartest FPS to come along, even BioShock by the makers of SS2 does not compare with the sheer brilliance of SS2.

Of course you can. You just have to do it well.

Bioshock. QED.

Not all SS2 fans liked BioShock.
(Not talking about me, haven't played it yet)

I did, as did several others. So, they dumbed down SS2, and SS2 fans enjoyed it.
