Your only chance to buy the original Shock would be e-Bay, or some other site where you might be lucky and find someone selling his/her copy. I got a copy from e-Bay, a few years ago (I only had the original diskette version).

I was gonna buy SS1 as well, until I found the original CD-ROM from thirteen years ago stowed away in my brother's old dresser.
I installed and ran it on DOSBox yesterday and now it's cookin' with gas. I forgot how tedious maneuverability was in the game though, compared to its later "Shock" successors.
The one thing SS1 had that I liked that the other Shock games didn't though was the ability to venture through an alternate world/dimension (i.e. Cyberspace) to attain certain goals. That's an underrated feature I think.
