Since Games like Duke Nuken 3D and Quake 3 where ported, this could be possible?
See I´m not asking for help or nothing, just asking for the knowledge from people with more experience the me in the subject.
I just want to know, if it is possible, not how. Because it could no be possible at all, and the conversion for the Dreamcast of SS2 was far canceled.

Duke Nukem and Quake 3 had their source code released.
SS1 and SS2 have not.
Fin.

SS1 won't as its unclear who holds what bits of the IP rights
SS2 won't because EA are decks (replace the e with an i)

IA are decks?

He meant the e in decks.

Thanks - I was just being obtuse for the sake of it. As far as I'm concerned if someone wants to call EA dicks for not releasing / making better use of SS2 IP they should just come out and say it.

EA are ducks.

In other news, wasn't there some vague notion that EA might be gearing up for an SS3 somewhere? Or was that BS in the end?
That would strongly suggest they control the IP (and if you control the IP for SS2 you surely must have the rights to 1. Ken Levine's story of trying to gather the rights was just a tale of how hard it would be to gather the rights as a nobody with no money to speak of)

I think it ended up being Dead Space.

Which wasn't bad but it was a dumbed down SS2 (which was a watered down SS1) mixed with Doom3 scares.
Cool for the first 10 minutes, then when you get used to where the designers place their bad guys, its gets very predictable.
Defintely one that was a good basic premise, let down by commercialism (simpler means more player, more money)
