If you're not going to play it I still don't get why you care.
In the timely words of the famous man's man Atticus Finch (as played by badass Gregory Peck) from To Kill a Mockingbird: ""Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win".
It is irrelevant whether or not I, you or Jtr7 plays the game, it's the idea and principal of standing up for what is right, and to not give up out of apathy... there's too much of that running rampant in the world as it is. If people didn't stand up for what they believed in, the world would be nowhere. Humans would be nowhere.

May as well ask, "If you're gonna buy the game anyway, play it or not, like it or not, like it out of some misguided obligation, why do you care?"
I've already explained many times why I care and precisely what my concerns are and continue to be, in simplest English when I'm not bored repeating it.

I still get flak for liking Grave of the Fireflies and other Studio Ghibli stuff even at this day and age. Mundanes will never understand the nerds.
Grave of the Fireflies is one of my favorite Ghibli films. No one should get flak for being passionate about something.

You're wrong. If people didn't stand up for things that matter the world would be nowhere. Standing up for your right to have a blue straw in your cinema coke would be silly, as is "standing up" (if that's what you want to call it) for your ideas about some games by moaning about a sequel that you are never going to play.

With respect jtr, that first sentence makes no sense at all.
As to your second sentence - you don't use plain English and everyone, including, you knows it. That's why your nickname is tldr.
And you've never explained why you care so much about this game you'll never play. In fact you only made it completely clear that you'll never play it in the past few weeks when you turned down the community offer to help you get a powerful enough PC/Console.
My theory - you're sitting at home typing away without anything better to do. Go read something man. Learn to program. Watch all the TV shows on Earth. Anything but be the sad little guy posting and ranting over a game he'll never play.

The fact is that people who really intend to play new Thief no matter what happens... they won't criticize it at all.
No critique - no chance for EM to improve the game before release.
Even if one is not going to play, he may know well what it means to be the *true* Thief game. Because
he played T1,2 and FMs for a long time. So his advices may be useful for developers.
Or does'nt EM want to "go back to the roots of Thief" as they once said?

Rubbish.
I intended to play Thief 3 no matter what and I had plenty of criticism to give it.
The same goes for Thief 4 - I'll get it unless the reviews are diabolical. And if it deserves criticism then it'll get it.
Where
do you people get your ideas from?

But your criticism' ll be too late :nono:

We don't know enough about the game to be able to properly critique the approach.
Did anyone know how clumsy the movement in T3 would be? How the sidestep lean was going to work? How useless the climbing gloves would be?
I don't mind normal criticism. That isn't what is going on here. jtr hate crew are moaning about every. little. thing.
It'd be funny if it wasn't the only thing they did with their sad little lives.

You're right, it's far better to sit back and let others make our decisions every day and not waste time constantly questioning and challenging what we are being told to accept. Better to just go with the flow, shell out some cash to Eidos Montreal for their crappy game at full price so they can ruin another franchise. Going by that so called logic, there's a reason governments have so much power over the dim witted people. Everybody is giving up and doesn't want to choose anymore. We are providing serious feedback for Eidos Montreal that is going ignored, has been going ignored for the past few years, despite their numerous lip service's about listening to Thief fan's... they are making every major decision the opposite of what the fans have been talking about, and don't even understand why as we are
telling them why to their stupid, smugly arrogant faces. They are brushing it off with a sense of "Oh well, wait until we change your mind.... we are right, our vision will be perfect and that is that. Now, let us tell you of the next elements we will be erasing and changing." There's also a measure of: "Why are they so upset? We are bringing THE Master Thief back, it's what they all wanted! Thief fan's *shake head* there's just no pleasing those fanatics".
They have grown indifferent and cocky after having a single successful game under their belts, and are not looking back to said game for understanding of what they did right and how to repeat that succsess. They now believe that no matter what they do, they will get it right, no matter what we want or don't want. They have had so many options they could have gone with, so many directions, and they are choosing to dumb down a universe that was the furthest thing from dumb since it was created. Everybody deserves better then that.

I'm confused. Which other franchise did they ruin? And which successful game did you mean?
