Exactly. That's exactly how I think they feel about their decisions and our complaints, especially with how they keep wording rebuttals or "assurances", the faces they make, and also because of how smart people here do the same thing, which blows my mind. The reactions here when we don't like something have got me scared as hell that EM probably relate to them more, making any reasoned point made useless, since it was never understood in words or intent.
Yeah, move on to mobile devices instead of adapting to what your customers are saying they want that is well within your capability, but doesn't mach your need for a bigger yacht, and more large houses.

jtr7's cynicism was quite prophetic. I was quite hopeful and was suckered in by Rene's announcement post.
When Rene announced the coming game, those many years ago, it seemed at the time that it was going to be a proper Thief game--not a complete reboot. So, yeah, I was excited too. Here was the prospect of a "new" Thief game (not a "new tHief") that was announced within a timeframe that'd make it accessible to current console generation users, and current PC capabilities. It'd be one of those last hurrah games for the X360 & PS3.
Since then, everything has changed with the comings and goings of new personnel. Now, I don't even want to know what the hell the game is. It seems to have become a Thief inspired rip-off of elements from all the recent "best sellers", and ain't showing much promise of being anything more than that.
Blehck!

Honestly, I think one of the best things they could do would be a simple graphical overhaul. Exact same gameplay, exact same storyline, just plug in modern graphics. Touch absolutely nothing else.
I'd pay money for it.

It seems that Thief won't be playable. So sad, I would enjoy to see differents type of approach that people will use while playing the E3 demo. Instead, we will see one playtrough.

They might have multiple playthroughs demonstrated, though, like how DXHR video(s) walked us through the different approaches you can take to getting past areas in the game (stealth, fight, hack terminals, etc). Not sure if that's be a good thing or a bad thing (to see focus time, focus fingerprints, focus pipes, focus secrets, focus combat, 3P takedowns, 3P verticality and parkour touted in one of the playthroughs), but I'm just sayin

Only it's been over 4 years...

Man, all those anime twats. I wonder if that's what we look like to other people.

Their reactions suggest we do. It's quite hallucinatory on their end and unreachable from ours.

If you're not going to play it I still don't get why you care.

I still get flak for liking Grave of the Fireflies and other Studio Ghibli stuff even at this day and age. Mundanes will never understand the nerds.
