@melan
The bots dropping from the skies happened once in my playthrough that I can remember. It was in the warehouse at the docks in Hengsha right before you place the bomb that Tong gave you.
Ah, figures, it was there in an older teaser. They never dropped it on me, though; too sneaky I guess.

Hmm, I didn't get a bot-drop there at the docks. I did see one, though,
when you return to Hengsha and get ambushed, if you hang around trying to rescue Malik, there is a bot-drop.

@gunsmoke: yes, maliks death is your fault :)
you can either kill or knock-out all the belltower guys and the robot, if you do it quick enough she takes off and joins you later again for a pick-up. if not she ends up at Tongs operating table.
general strategy:
non-lethal: I sniped one guy in the tall building with tranq, rushed ahead with super-sprint and my stungun. it is very important to deal with the 2 heavies and 2 machinegun guys on the floor first, then the robot, then the snipers since they make the least amount of damage. if you don't kill the heavies soon the chopper explodes before the robot even appears.
lethal: dude, so many exploding barrels, I just shot those and the rest was lobbing nades like crazy.
PS: "random" bot-drops depend on you making making a real mess of things. which I did on my berserker playthru. but since EMP > robot I never had to fire a shot

The pistol is very much an I Win button with proper upgrades. Made me think of Alpha Protocol that way.

Pyrian - as I understand it Megan took the original DNA sample a few years earlier while still in a relationship with Adam. Sarif encouraged her research and Adam & Megan split up partly because of her preoccupation with her work and sense of guilt over using him. After Adam quit the police Megan suggested to Sarif that Sarif Industries should employ him and that's when Sarif did the background checks.
Anyway, great game. I loved it except for the bosses and they were easily dealt with with the typhoon so I could pretend they weren't there. I played it on pc while my other half has been playing the 360 version and its been interesting seeing how completely differently he's played some areas. I've completed the game (86 hrs according to Steam) and once he's finished we'll swap. I liked the hacking on pc, looks annoying on the xbox so it might change the way I play - never tried melee weapons in the original until I'd played the PS2 version where the small areas made the sniper rifle less appealing.

Fixed.

We both know that when it comes to Fear 2 our opinions are... different. But there's no way in hell that ending can be described with the use of a word like 'good' applied to it in a complimentary fashion without the universe folding back on itself and bitchslapping you into a parallel fucking
dimension.
My only disappointment with the ending of FEAR 2 is that you didn't play the baby in the third game. That would have had potential.

Typhoon worked fine, and as there were way too many praxis points given out didn't stop me having all the other augs I wanted. Maybe I'll try the stun gun next time, wouldn't mind playing through what happens if you have your biochip replaced.
mothra on 18/9/2011 at 13:49
well, that's what is gonna happen: Adam will look even more like the fool he already is....
e.g. THE VOICE TOLD ME TO BUY THIS
e.g. YOU TOOK MY DNA. WORST THING EVER, WE'RE THROUGH
:)

How do these idiots get jobs in the industry? Seriously.

We’re you hoping for a first-person-only experience? With no cover system, no regen, lean keys, no take-downs, melee combat and everything in the environment being interactive?
If you were, then I’m sorry for you, but that’s not the game we set out to create, because that’s not the game we felt the majority of players wanted to play.
Oh, and there's a great tidbit at the end that pretty much tosses Thi4f out the window, too:

Maybe in the future we’ll figure out how to do stealth work beautifully in 1st-person (and please, don’t tell me DX1 nailed it in that respect, I don’t believe that), but this wasn’t the project and we weren’t the team to do it.
Yup, I just love to see classic series's getting torn down and rebuilt out of cotton candy by these chuckleheads.
