The levels are somewhat different on the PS2, mostly they are smaller and less detailed (so I heard, I don't own a PS2). So I guess simply porting the Nuclear Power Plant level to PC would make that level a bit "worse" than the others - and I guess they didn't want to properly re-design the map for the PC.
As far as I know, the game was designed on a PC, so the Power Plant mission was made in a PC environment, and then converted into a PS2 file, or whatever. It would've made sense to then include the Power Plant as an extra bonus level, but they didn't. The Vselka levels we do get were first Xbox exclusives, but again also built on a PC in the beginning.
As far as the original storyline, yes, I was aware of that. I don't know why they chose to edit these levels out. Playing the bonus levels after Kalinatek would make a more complete game, but it's still not seamless, and I'm sure a lot is still missing... Too bad, but maybe we'll see a Developer's Edition later :)

Maybe they really wanted to keep that level PS2 exclusive - the same reason the SCCT water attack was made PS2 and handheld exclusive. The game on PS2 have worse graphics, and such, due to hardware limitations, so maybe they want to compensate the unavoidable flaws with exclusive content. Nonsense IMO, but maybe that's the reason.

Knowing UBI, I strongly doubt. The original SC is not a real seller nowadays, so there's no reason for UBI to support it anymore, not even with patches, let alone extra content... All we can do is read the original Datasticks in Memorysticks.int, and read the in-game chat in the appropriate .int files (too bad the text is in Russian, but it can be translated with Babelfish), and recreate the original storyline for ourselves. At least that's what I did. :)

So here are the SCPT mission stats.
Embassy - 1 KO (Shetland's guard)
Cryo Lab - 2 KOs (the two mercs shooting the computers)
Train - Total Stealth
Jerusalem - 4 KOs (the two thugs in the shop basement and the first two soldiers in the warehouse)
Kundang Camp - 1 KO (the guard in the watch tower)
Komodo Jungle - 6 KOs (the technician, the colonel in the sub, and everyone in the final battle (4 soldiers))
Jakarta - 5 KOs (the soldiers trying to kill Ingrid)
LAX - 10 Kills (the terrorists)

Those stats are from before of course, though I re-checked a few places in the meantime...

You guys are so bad, I uninstalled SC last month which I kept it there for 2 years and I finally finished it. Now I won't install it again for some stupid reason...... [NO NO NO, stop it you idiot, don't put the disk in the CDROM drive.:p]
The SC experience is really addictive, and so are many other games. I still have several old games in my machine, e.g. System Shock 2, Half Life, Deus Ex. They stayed there even I got a new hard disk, I just moved them. I love to play some sections again and again and again even I install other new games. ;) :)

*Waves hand* You want to install SC and take part in the Ghost Challenge...
Btw, same here. I currently I have the first two SC games, all Thief games, SShock2, and Half-Life on my computer. Well, it seems that the only new game on it now is FEAR and Half-Life 2. I guess these old games had so good atmosphere, it's worth replaying them just for the feeling.

I am not so skillful like you guys in stealth way of gaming, but I can't bear just watching you talking about how you sneak past this guard and those soldiers. I will try to improve my skill. [Wearing stealth suit and putting on night vision goggles.:cheeky: ;) ]

HKPrince, welcome to our humble establishment :D
By the way, I was toying with the idea of making a true stealth walkthrough for SC. There's one on GameFAQs, but I stopped reading it as soon as the writer mentioned killing guards in Georgia. Would anyone want this though, I wonder?

I'd love to say "yes" but I'm afraid only some die hard retro SC fanatics (like me) would appreciate it. But I'm willing to help you with it if you really decide to do it. ;) It would be cool ... (by the way, it would be a "true stealth + no kill walkthrough" then)
