I think continuing on with the Ghost Challenge now is moot :)
I hope you're joking. :) We'll beat the the PC version without the dialog cheat, and without getting shot (well I did, hope you will) which means that we're much 1337er than this guy ... right?
And then there's PT and CT, you know. :D

Yeah I was just joking, hence the smiley. But I think after reading his walkthrough I won't be doing mine, but I will be redoing SC1 again with some of his tricks. :thumb:

I made an improvement in Kalinatek - avoiding the first keycode guard, and bypassing the first wave of 3 mercs on the roof (like in the video). I couldn't run past the second wave without getting shot, so they remain "KOed". Same with the last two. Tried a themessage trick on the submarine mission, but it didn't work. The AI hears better on PC.
I'll check out the abattoir trick some time, but I have a feeling that the PC AI won't allow improvement:cool: .
Also, some people say you can run past the battles in the Presidential Palace mission - both the library and the cellar. I couldn't do it without getting shot, so they remain as "KO"s.
EDIT: a small improvement in the Abattoir mission - 1 less KO
EDIT2: Managed to completely avoid KOing the last three mercs on the Saulnier level (SCPT), and saving Couldebouf at the same time. :D

Acually I enjoy the Metal Gear series a lot more than SC. I'm trying for a Zero Alerts+Zero Kills game of MGS3 right now so I can get the Optic Camo item. For such a semi-linear game it has a great replay value.
Maybe if you save the game, get the keycode, write it down, then reload and enter it into the keypad without KOing him.
Do you play this on the pc? I tried and just couldn't enjoy the game with the awkward gamekeys. I wondered if it was modified from the Playstation or something.

AFAIK, there is no MGS3 for PC yet.
And a news item:
Splinter Cell Double Agent has been delayed till 2006 september:

Hopefully the delay will mean more of a unified release on all platforms, and not that exclusive bullshit.
P.S.: I know I've been very absent from the thread, Malleus, but I will finish SC1 soon, and move onto SC2. Redoing SC1 will have to wait until later :)

I strongly doubt. One of the reasons for the delay is that there will be more XboX360 owners in september, than now -> more sales. Which means there will be exclusive stuff for the 360 version, and therefore possibly for the other platrforms too.

Allright! Don't rush it, but don't forget about it either!;)

Not ghosting, but after some experimenting I discovered that you can reduce the number of KOs on the Kalinatek level to 4, by running past the roof battles - though it cannot be done without taking damage, but if you don't mind using some medpaks, it's fine. The last two guys will start shooting at you when you jump onto the platform and the "mission complete" text appears - you must then press a button, to quickly end the mission, otherwise they might kill you.
Kinda same in the presidential palace - you can run past the library battle and the basement battle (though I didn't manage to do it without taking damage ... a lot of damage actually).

I'm terribly sorry, poroshin, but I just couldn't resist, and finished SCCT ghosting... :erm:
However, I made up some really tough ghosting rules (not just no KO ... that has been done anyway), which are going to make the game really challenging, and fun. It was really cool to complete certain parts in a completely new way ... and I even made an achivement that's simply groundbreaking, even in the face of the previously done full stealth challenges.
So I hope you'll have time for this (and for the whole ghost challenge stuff actually).
See ya!

Well I don't have a lot of time right now to play games, much less stuff that requires concentration like the Ghost Challenge, but do go ahead and tell us all about it. I'm very interested :) And I will be back ;)
