Poroshin:I don't remember exactly the situation you are talking about just from memory. Is it the guy right before you wall jump to the top of the tall stone wall and hit a loading screen?
Yeah. Right before you actually enter the Police Station. There are other problematic "light" spots later on, like the wallmine room in Kalinatek.

I managed to bypass the warehouse area in the Chinese Embassy 2 level without knocking out the colonel. That's -1 KO for that level. As I suspected, the light meter lag prevented me from avoiding this KO on my weaker PC. Now it was quite simple. Stats update on page 2. :cheeky:

I have lots of time this weekend. I look forward to making some solid progress. I'll keep you posted. This is a LOT more time-intensive than just playing. Takes hours to just beat one level.

Now I've tried and managed to ghost that place. Perfect ghost, no property damage and noone being suspicious. But it took me dozens of quickloads and lot of experimenting. "I hate this kinda thing" as Lambert would say...

See? I told you!!!! Now you have some more info to update on walkthrough. We are getting better and better stats as new people come on board and we replay levels it appears.

Yeah, but if you're progressing like this (improving the ghosting), I'll have a hard time keeping up. Which is not bad, but there are certain accomplishments that are not worth the effort ... IMO.
For example, I don't know how you got past the aforementioned guy, but for me, dropping into the right spot near him (where neither him nor the civilian notices you) was almost purely a matter of luck. I like ghosting when you have to think/observe to find/make your way past enemies, but when you have to load 50 times just to be lucky enough to make a certain move ... well it sometimes gets on my nerves ...

Which is why this spot is very hard to ghost through without shooting the lights. And even then, it's all about timing.

Poroshin On the second screenshot for the graphics bugs post, there is a picture taken on the Chinese Embassy two level. Would you check that place sometime? I'm curious about that "unexplainable lighting anomaly"...
And then I'll hopefully stop whining about graphics bugs in a 4 years old game...
