Sometimes I wonder how some of you people have any fun without amputating children with a circular saw or picking off people from a church tower with a high-powered rifle.

Can I have a weird psycho rhetorical question please?
There you go.

In all likeliness I'm having more fun in that regard than you have, without relying on someone who has to put up/out with me on a regular basis. Take that you shmock! \:D/

That is true. I exaggerated that woman's background and mindset to get a point across: If you do that sort of thing to really annoying persons (like Lowtax does) that's all fine and I laugh my ass off about it like everyone else. But David Thorne only reveals his own witlessness, not that of Jane Gilles. Hence: not funny.

I appreciate your critical analysis of my email joke, but I think you're missing the point. We aren't laughing because David is pulling an heroic prank against a faceless corporate droid. We're laughing because the scenario is funny. The joke would work just as well if it were played out with actors, and no one mistook it for a transcript of a real conversation.

You think so? I found it rather meh. Then Koki said the same thing. Then Scotty did what he does... You know how it goes. All of a sudden you find yourself amongst people who like to speculate about your sex life and what you do on church towers.

It's like the seemingly-disconnected-from-reality-rant you went on in my blog for God's sakes, you just seem to take the most mundane reality from an intended joke and run with it way further than necessary to wring any possible light-heartedness from the situation so that the initial set-up is as wrinkly, black and prune-like as your heart.

piglick's comment is gold, though.

You still haven't gotten over that...look I'm sorry. I didn't know your daughter was only two years old! Otherwise I would have never said this. Many apologies.
Anyway, let me ask you a question: Do you think Jane Gilles (if she exists) enjoys her new internet fame?
Another question: Now we have asserted that David Thorne was not pulling a cool prank, is it still funny? Please read the strip again if you have problems remembering.

I just read that whole thing on the blog.
It has nothing to do with the age of his daughter and everything to do with you not having a sense of humour. The "10 things" is clearly a joke. Come on. Are you the new Koki? No wonder I keep mixing you two up.
