I've got a book of letters similar to this called (

I'm not surprised at the reaction of that Jane character, to be honest. Seeing how trigger happy people are with lawsuits these days, it's no wonder the corporate PR/CS people are trying to look as clueless about jokes as possible.
Not that the story isn't funny, mind you. ;)
