I've got my first magic-using character up and running, and now I'm working on my spells. As such, I have a question!
I can have Fire Damage 100pts for 2 seconds (50ft), or Fire Damage 50pts for 5 seconds (50ft.)
Logically (or atleast to me), the former should do 200 damage while the latter gives out 250 damage. Is this right? Which is better, really?
For my last question, I have seen a little ball of light shine while I'm fighting someone else, magic with magic. Does this mean the magic is being cancelled out (which is cool)?

It's all optim to the player.
Personally, I would go with 50 dmg. for 5 seconds. All you have to do is consider if you run into an enemy that dosn't kill you quick, or do heavy amounts of damage. Let's just say I wouldn't use this if I'm low on health and I'm slow (which a starting mage would be).

And Yes, you can cancel spells with other spells. :thumb:

Lol, didn't know that myself. Then again, what CAN'T you do in Morrowind?
I'm a Monk. I don't know these things. Which is suprising, because I'm the mage-type.

Also, marksman weapons can also be used to explode a spell. Kind of usefull when you are against a very powerful spell and you have throwning stars ;) But kind of bad if you have a daedric bow and are about to kill them cause the spell also blows up the arrow.
I think this is one of the coolest parts of MW, I don't think this is done on purpose however, as the spells are actaul objects which move across the game untill they hit something and explode, but you never know.
