Hey,
I cast the high jump spell, and unfortunately it seems to be permanently on now. No spell icon indicating it's active. Any way to get rid of it? I keep bouncing off ceilings :(

Is the jump spell active icon showing? If so, just click on it and it should turn it off.
If you were playing UW2 I could think of another reason for the problem ;)

Nope, no icon. I think I triggered it when I saved with the spell active, loaded the save game and cant get it off. It's not a game-killer, just a bit of a pisser :)

What happens if you dive into water and get out again? Or move between levels?

Tried all those, no luck :) Most of the time it's not too much of a prob, because I can levitate. But now I've got to the no magic level, it is awkward.

Well guest what? I just cast fly and when the spell ended, normal jumping resumed. Feels weird though :)

Well I finished it. Very nice game.
Almost got through it without a walkthru. Finding the cup stumped me. I got the mantra for it and knew which level it was on, but just couldn't find it. Got bored of looking and found out that I had unknowingly slaughtered the goblin that gives you the flute tune to get the cup of awesome. I also slaughtered his pal, the ghoul, who gives you the mine dispatch combo. I was looking in the catacombs for that gimp. Silly game has you killing goblins and ghouls all the way through and then suddenly they're your pals, how was I to know?
On to uw2..

If they don't attack you then don't attack them. I always found it refreshing that the various groups in the abyss had their own agendas - even if some of them would attack you not all of them would.

Enjoy. It's a little different in atmosphere but it's a lot more varied which for some is a disadvantage but I prefer it to UW1 for that very reason.
