So I'm driving down a motorway today, listening to CSS (which I recommend), in a 50mph zone and some woman drives right up behind me and beeps me. Beeps me! On a motorway!?? I pull into the other lane to let her pass and she gesticulates wildly as she speeds past me upto at least 60 if not 70.
In the past few years I've noticed more and more of this - people getting annoyed with me when I'm sticking to the speed limit. I try to stay out of the fast lane but more often than not there is some Sunday driver in the slower lanes and I can't be arsed with swerving in and out all the time. What is wrong with people in the UK? There are always complaints about speed cameras, average speed checks and so on and all under the guise of some civil liberties crap. No, you want to break the law so just admit it. I'm all for people driving at whatever speed they want and ending up a cropper if that's their choice, but only if it affects just them.
The sad fact is that most badly injured road traffic victims I'm dealt with in A&E are innocents who are pranged by other reckless drivers who somehow seem to be less badly injured. Except those that are outright killed when they crash on their own into stationary objects. I wish I could get a fake traffic cop light to plonk on my roof for these occasions.

Nope. There were cars in the slow lane, I didn't have much choice.

I sympathise with Subjeff; if there's a temporary 50mph limit it's probably there for a reason. And it applies to the fast lane too.
