Or simply read the available material on the subject and at least come to an informed conclusion.

Which I have. And in case you didn't realize, your own eyes are a far more valid resource than a report filed by a group of security personnel who didn't want to be fired.
So, what? You're telling me that because a report says that he was screaming like a lunatic and waving an assault rifle that the video is somehow invalidated?

No, but any worthwhile claims of "abuse of force" are.

Do you even bother reading the stuff you link to?
Read section 776.05. The guy was face down and cuffed. Do you think he represented any risk of harm to the police?

He may have had a detonator wired to his bomb belt.

But what does it matter? Abuse of force is still abuse of force, no matter how much they deserve it. If, say, Saddam Hussein had been tortured for days before his execution there'd have been uproar. However, according to you and the others here, everyone would just nod and say 'Well he deserved it' and go along.
Comparing Hussein to a loud mouth college student is comparing apples to oranges. Yeah, maybe the student didn't deserve such rough treatment, but considering past intances of campus violence they are probably not taking any chances. Does that make it right or wrong? Who knows?

Indeed, hundreds of people every day are killed by college students held on the floor and surrounded by security officers. Better not take any chances, he might have lasers for eyes.

Tbh heretic, you've already shown in your attitude to the incident that you don't really care for discussion, civil liberties or debate so your narrow-minded and reactionary reply above comes as no surprise to anyone. :erg:
HOORAY FOR FREEDOM OH WATE... GO PATRIOT ACT GO!
