Speech getting cut off... - by Drat

This is very annoying, and renders the game unplayable (or rather unenjoyable). Each bit of speech cuts off a second or so from the end. Yes, I have searched the forums, and did find a fix, and it worked once (a little) then never again. I'm running a laptop with XP, Service Pack 1, 2.1 Ghz processor, 256 megs ram, ATI Radeon 320M and Deus Ex Game of The Year edition.
Can anyone help? I'd love to play this game I've heard such great things about.

Damnit. Anyone? Surely someone else has had the same problem. The guy from the topic I linked to registered solely to post that topic, and didn't leave an email address.

:) well i had problem that each message quits a bit earlier before sound, so the person did not speak the last word. enable cheats and type slomo x, where x is speed. 1.0 is normal i think, so type 0.8 and maybe it will helo. But game will run slower ...
