Alright, here is my take on speakers, I like to build my own,(sorta) I get a large pair of "house" speakers, you know the carpreted ones with like a 12-15" woofer, mid Horn, and like 3 "piezo" Tweeters, I pretty much just use them for the sturdy cases, I rip all the stock shit out, put in Titanium tweeters, a "real" metal horned mid, and replace the woofers with a Ev Force 12's, those muthafuckas have an 18lb magnet, and of course go with a new high powered crossovers and binding posts, I want these to be seen,I like to go 12" (woofer)set in front, 10" set in back and a powerful Dialoge speaker with three 6.5" woofer/mids,(5 way system) and of course when you have "bangers" like this you don't need a shitty sub at all, the bass is fantastic! But I know a lot of people prefer little "pussy" 5.1 "bookshelf" systems, any thoughts? Do you like em BIG...or small

I like BIG Huzuwatzitz 12.2s above the inside lower bottom, and smaller 3" Booramos under the top.

When it comes to great stereo, you can't beat big speakers. I'm talking about BIG speakers with BIG woofers like this. Like the MX 10, the flagship of the DOMINATOR line. I have two myself... 30 inches of thigh-slappin', blood-pumpin' nuclear brain damage!!

i know a guy who used to be CRAZY into audio .... he had HUGE speakers everywhere, and he built his own cabinets and ran his own business building & selling systems to people ....
so when i went to his house a year ago , after not having been there for a few years .... i was SURPRISED to see a bunch of computer equipment everywhere, and HARDLY ANY speakers at all. in fact, his only speaker setup (that i could see), was one of those rinky dink 5.1 systems you are speaking of ....
i was like WTF MAN!!!!
he just went from completely obsessed with speakers to completely obsessed with computers. really confusing though, i figured he would at least have a fucking wall of speakers hooked up to his computer
