Hi guys,
For me the most important aspect within the thief genre is the audio.
Im sure you all realise the reason why.
I have an asus xonar ds connected to a creative ddts-100 decoder via optical cable, to my gigaworks.
Ive just started replaying thief 2 and noticed that all sounds seem to becoming from the centre speaker (5.1)....very annoying im sure you can imagine.
I cant enable asus' version of eax as it instantly crashes thief :(....i pressed on.....but not having 5.1......or quadraphonic (same problem with 4.1)...i just cant play it. Im using windows 7 64bit...and have 7.1 enabled within the control panel (i can only enable 5.1 by configuring 7.1 and disabling the side speakers)

Anyone??? Ive tried pretty much everything, everbodys 5.1 works? Its crap to play in stereo.....i have never played it like that...i need to hear the guards behind me.
