I have a horrible feeling this all ends with someone finding Howie dangling in a motel room.

Well I have a story.
Tonight I finally got to watch the entirety of Full Metal Jacket. I've only ever seen the first part- the bit with Pyle and all- and while I've enjoyed it, I've been trying for years to see the whole thing.
I can now safely say that I enjoy 2.9 Stanley Kubrick films out of the 6 I have seen. That 2.9 more than makes up for the rest.

The first part of FMJ is utterly awesome.
It's hard to suspend disbelief during the second half though, because it's painfully obvious that they filmed it in London rather than going to Thailand or like.
P.S. Stop making so many shit, useless threads, Howie. Also learn about the concept of Private Messages.

I'm pretty used to old war movies being unrealistic, so it didn't bother me too much. I liked it, actually.
My favourite Vietnam movie is still Apocalypse Now, though.

Hm, I didn't see this 'flaw' myself, and hope never to, for it will mean that something very important has died inside of me.
I did, however, once have a terrifying dream about being a witness of the blanket party scene, but Pyle just kept giggling in fear and delirium and the rest of them
just wouldn't stop hitting him.

Thank you, that will be adequate.
