ok, so I just got my stronghold through house Hlaalu, and was thinking it would be nice to spruce it up a little. The problem is, I never really realised how hard it is to find nice stuff in the game. It's not like you can walk into a shop and buy stuff like silver candlesticks and limeware platters etc... and the good stuff like that is almost imposable to find in normal houses, bandit caves etc.
So my question is, does anybody know of a decent sized cache of nice/expensive homeware goods?? Short of the limeware platter in Census Office at the start, I have practically found nothing nice in all my playing so far (albeit I’m only lv 18, but still).
Ok, help appreciated :)

I just started pinching nice candles and things from the various caverns around Vvardenfell... ;)
(...and eventually just picked up the editor, learned to use it, and made my own house with that ;)

Join the Thieves guild
Go talk to the Kajit chick at the inn in Pelengraid (Ashuni or something). Do a bunch of the share a care quests and eventually she'll give you the key to her pad. Once you get the keys she says her house is your house and you can take what you please and she won't make a stink about it. and she is LOADED with silver goods. Be careful though, you might just start respecting her and not want to steal. Hell I ended up only taking a couple bottles of Flin and leaving her 1000 Gold in one of her chests.
Good luck

hahaha, thanks loony - thats pretty much exactly what I wanted to hear.
as for the guilt thing... amazing isn't it how emotional you can get over a couple of polygons. Thats a good rpg for you though.
I guess iif I start loosing sleep over it I can always donate a spare ebony sword or two to pay the favor back... :joke:

Ha... Go to Lord Cluttermonkey! He has it all! Everything must go! Clutter Warehouse! And Used Clutter Salesman, she's got stuff too. Do not touch the Lord's mace, Clutterbane!
player-> coc "Clutter Warehouse - Everything Must Go!"
Maybe? Don't know. Give it a try. But if you can't get out, don't blame me. To get back to the real world:
player->coe 9, 23
Or something. Type in some numbers at random, see where you end up.

Adding "Player->" isn't necessary when using coc. ;)
