Okay i used the golden saint scroll and then put soul trap on it and killed it but i didn't get the soul in the gem. Help please?

I believe that this ridiculious exploit was fixed in a patch. I recently tried to use the same method that had worked before for me but doesn't now. It worked before I patched the game so I assume its from the patch.
On the other hand, do you have a grand soul gem? You have to have a grand soul gem to trap a Golden Saint.

Something else is that they apparently cast Dispel and Reflect on themselves rather frequently... so maybe your timing (between casting & killing) was just bad.

Exploit? Perhaps... you still have to kill them... and they are easy enough to find anyway...
