Its is darn easy to get Winged Twighlight soul gem even if you just started playing. Gem is worth 60 000 and it can give your enhanced item charge of 300.

[SPOILER]Get yourself a invisibility potion. Get into the Mage Guild in Balmora, Second Floor where the girl which gives you orders is. Take a look around the room there untill you see a table with alot of Soul Gems on it. Now, go down stairs, drink the invisiblity potion, get back up and take the gem. So easy. WARNING: dont let her to enchant your item with that gem. She will notice is hers. Go in moonmoth fort an enchant it there..[/SPOILER]

An alternative option for a mage guild member:
[SPOILER]Join the guild and do some chores for the khajit downstairs. You'll soon be asked to plant a false gem in the enchanter's desk. The enchanter will come downstairs at this point, allowing you to go up to her desk, swipe all of her gems (inc. the winged twilight) and plant the false gem inside her desk.[/SPOILER]

Or you can just do it the traditional way and jump on the table behind her go into sneak mode and steal all the gems - this is what I did at level 1 (assassin) so it is easily possible.
The only problem is that enchanting items is so ridiculously expensive any new player like me can never afford it (level 7 now).

You can do it yourself. Even at level one I could make rating 4 items quite easily. Boosting my intelligence to 500+ and luck to 100+ I just made my first constant effect item (rating 45 Shield of the Champion which Fortify strength 9 pts), which would have cost, what, 50000 drakes?

True but how much did you spend on the potions to boost your intelligence and luck to those levels? Are you a mage character anyway?

Not a drake! I have alchemy as a minor skill :) Plus, I made 7 rings and amulets that fortify intelligence 50 to 100 points each for a short duration. I just cast those in quick succession after downing a couple of fortify luck potion and I'm all done.
I'm a level 25 Deji (custom class, light armoured, long blade weilding acrobatic warrior majoring in Destruction and Enchant, minoring in Alchemy, although Alchemy is my highest magical skill at the moment.). Enchant is 52, base intelligence is 99, boostable to 520+ :)
