 I have a grand soul gem, a summon golden saint scroll (3, actually), an umbra sword, which casts soul trap, but NO IDEA what to do after that!
I need a little help, please! :cheeky:

FIrst, make sure you have a grand soul gem (empty) in your inventory.
THEN summon the saint, etc.

 I must have done something wrong, cause that's what I did, and she disappeared and I was left with an empty soul gem. ....Wait a minute, do I cast soul trap before or after I kill her? And, do I have to kill her to trap her soul? ....Sorry, dumb questions, but I haven't tried this before in the game.
Thanks for your replies! :cheeky:

As far as I recall, you have to cast Soul Trap before dealing the final blow, and you have to kill the creature in order to trap her soul.

OK, well, I'm going to go try it again. I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks again :cheeky: ,

 I did it! I don't know what I did wrong last time, but it worked this time. (I'm going to go have my gauntlet enchanted now!)
Thanks again! :cheeky:

Summoned creatures only stick around for a short time. I bet the first time you just weren't fast enough.

I think you are right. I thought I could cast the soul trap after it was dead, but when it was, it vanished! (LOL) I think that's what I did wrong the first time.

Also Golden Saints don't seem to like having Soul Trap cast on them so have a nasty habit of dispelling the damn thing... make sure they still have a white swirling cloud around them when you make the killing blow!
