Sorry, another TG Problem (Read FAQs) - Reinstalled - can't play FMs anymore.

Apologies for yet another TG query, I've trawled FAQs & forums but...

TG has worked fine on my machine for ages with FMs.
One day I lost the sound (T2 & T3 still worked OK), so I reinstalled.
After installation I loaded thieffixedg.exe, convict.osm, darkhooks and script from UsrScriptT1_1x2BugFix.zip.

Now TG original missions play fine, but when FMs loaded (via Garrettloader or Darkloader - I don't use them in tandem incidentally), I get a crash to desktop before the main menu (getting the MS error report window).

What have I forgotten ?:erg:

PentiumII
Radeon 9600
2GB mem

Optimise your Thief folder with Darkloader. I can't quite remember how you do it, it may've been when you try locating the thief executable.

There seems to be no way of requesting optimisation; Darkloader gives you the option to do this when you exit the setup menu.

Following this, Garrettloader would not work and I had to reinstall - now TG works with both. Unfortunately I've lost my saves but hey...

Wonder how people without Darkloader get TG going?
