Chrono Cross's title theme and Liberi Fatali, the song to Final Fantasy VIII's intro.
Then there's a lot of stuff from Metropolis Part II, by Dream Theater. Home, for one. Also Who Are You, My Generation, The Real Me, Love Reign O'er Me and a whole bunch of others from The Who. Keith Moon could just drum up catharsis from chaos. Patent Exploding British Drummer, indeed.

Lately for GRR HRKK I've found myself genuinely enjoying industrial-metal cliche collectors Hanzel und Gretyl, which is a bit like suddenly discovering that you're a homosexual furry.

Jesus!
Where are you finding Hanzel und Gretyl?
I saw them fucking
years ago and was never able to find anything by them (it would help if I could have remembered how to spell their name while I was in the record store).
They had one song, which I can't remember now, that I
had to have.

Due to reasons which shall not be disclosed, I was reminded of the album Melody A.M. by Röyksopp a few months ago. Tossed it on my little flash MP3 player and promptly forgot about it.
About two months ago, with my iPod battery dead, I needed music for the gym, picked up the Muvo, and went about my way. Whole album is nice and mellow, and lets me zone out. But since I start from the beginning of the album, by the time I finish my warm-up sets, I'm usually doing my heaviest lifts on my biggest exercises (Squats, Bench, Deadlifts) during the second song, (

So, after two months of this now, I've just come to realize that it's become sort of a pavlovian response for me. When I hear that song, it automatically gets my adrenaline going. And not just in a "Hey I like that song" kind of way: my body now associates it with "Oh fuck, I have to move big stuff" and I get physically tense and amped up from it.

And what is it with you Pantera people? You can't just go all the way and listen to Ramstein?
