How the fuck do 'you' and 'your mind' seperate at any point
I never said they do, and yes it's essentially your mind in a war with itself. But in reality it's just a struggle for control over the subconscience.

Been hearing on the news how bad it's
-always- been down there. They talk as if it is all out war for the city.
Fixed ;), although it's been getting worse these past few years, true.
Well, I'm from Sinaloa (a state) where the Sinaloa drug cartel resides, so, yeah, you could say it's somewhat of a war down here (heck, across many parts of Mexico nowadays), just not as many big explosions as a real war, but the death toll is somewhat of a small war (usually tallies between 500 - 700 anually in my state alone, state's pop. cap at 2.5 mill). Lately I've been getting a lot of new anecdotes from friends back home, and they just make me be thankful I'm living in another state at the moment.
On the upside, apparently there's been a lot of anonymus tipping off to the army on drug traffickers' safehouses and such, so things have been going down, so to speak.
Me?, I'm lucky. No close friend or relative's been killed, so, yay :)

You realize of course that those tips are being given by rival drug gangs and it amounts to a consolidation of power right? With many things follow the money is all the cause and effect you need. A sad world that nurtures all the wrong reasons for existence. You dig out a safe harbor and try to pull as many into it as you can. I don't know if you can change the world by a force of will but it's all we got. If we could have kept the good simple things from the old days and got rid of the bad I sometimes think but then we just get our own brand of bad instead.
I'm alright. I might not be able to explain some things but I'm open to the right answers when they come along. Some people just start down some really wrong trail though. That's all I can figure. You wonder if you could have said the right thing to them at the right time and changed the future but how do you know? Some predisposition for bad trails maybe. Dropping them on thier heads wont do it apparently. Unless you break thier knecks and then that would be better for some they damage later. That poor little girl. As much as I want to get through life without killing I wish I had that time. Glen Gross is definitely not alright.
Limbs breaking in the woods are just some trick or something. Nothing nature holds compares to men. Bears maybe. They wouldn't be the only thing shitting in the woods if I run up on one in the dark. It could have been one and in that case maybe I did the right thing. Lets say it was.

*Chuckles*
Trust me, I live -here-. I know it, believe me. It's not as B&W on the anonymus tips, but still, many have been made by citizens, and for better or worse, it does thin out their ranks. We shall see how this turns the tide around.
Oh well...

Tocky, that small breach in your logic based world throws you off your guard? That's your problem right there. You may think you go insane, but actually you have been insane for a long time, blocking out what didn't fit into logical categories. Don't be such a pussy. Say hello to the irrational. It's the salt in the big soup o' life. :D

Heres a story, one with a happy ending.
Today I shot a 33 over 9 holes. Best day of my life.
Excellent, Piglick! Keep up the good work.
Personally, I've only been able to shoot around eighteen of the bastards--you'd figure they'd be easier to pick off, wearing such loud attire. Maybe it's just my aim.

That's actually what I was hoping you would say and I'm glad to hear it. I didn't mean to single out Mexico City as if it were the only area with that sort of problem either but I don't think you took it like that.
The succubus in me was hoping for more stories. At least I got one good one PMed. A story about boredom that was anything but boring. Had a Jack London feel in the way it put me right in the locale and right in the boots.
Queue- checked patterns and crosshairs don't mix- use the laser sight.
Scots- it's about not understanding.

No, I mean I've tried to read your OP maybe four times now and I just can't make head nor tail of it.

Sorry. I suppose I was rambling. The moral was to go check. Beat the strange shit down with logic if you can because it will bother you.
The story of the girl at the party was incorporated to show the earlier strange thing which opened a crack in belief structure. I don't believe in ghosts or UFOs or delirium tremor trailerpark revelations. Some things creep me when I can't incorporate them into what I know though. Just a few. No matter what you know when your senses betray your cognitive ability to explain you get a WTF brick wall. Ghost stories around campfires are fun when you are a kid. Aberations from what you know to be true aren't. Your mind finds them like a tongue does a missing tooth.
Also it talks a path around other things I can't get my head around like the things people do to each other.
Also also I wanted stories. Distractions. True things that don't fit. Things that fit unimaginably perfect. Not enough stories sometimes. It would have to be a bedtime one just now.
