Somebody help me... - by Gilles Apap who?

I recently purchased Morrowind, and it runs fine on my computer with one small but extremely irritating exception.
The only problem I've encountered is that when I go into an inventory screen it will automatically scroll to one side. This may not sound like much but it makes it impossible to actualy have some conversations beyond a certain length, i.e beyond the end of the talk menu, and it makes it impossible to buy some things from traders as the screen will scroll to the other end of the menu, and will just scroll back if I try get back to the other side of the menu.
The weird thing is that it doesn't really start untill I've been playing for a while, 10-20 minutes or so, but once it starts happening it's impossible to actually talk to most people properly, which really takes alot of fun away from the game. If anyone out there knows how to get rid of this problem please tell me.

Did you try getting the patch? If you didn't, give that a whack. If you did, then I don't have a clue!

If dhaelis's suggestion doesn't fix it you might try looking to update your mouse drivers; it seems like the game is getting confused by the mouse after a set period of time. (You might first try disabling your mouse wheel if you have one, and seeing if that fixes it; Morrowind uses the mouse wheel for many things, so I wouldn't suggest keeping it disabled unless you must, but it'd be an indication of the issue's source)

I had the same problem. Turned out to be Logitech wireless software. Are you using a wireless mouse and keyboard?

Anyway.......If you're using Logitech wireless you can use the windows drivers for the mouse and the menus won't scroll down and lock. If anyone has found another fix for this pls let me know. Rolling back my drivers and re-booting every time I play the game is getting to be a pain in the butt. (I really shouldn't complain since it's the only problem I've had with this game.)
