Some Thief 2 textures not showing on new machine.

I'll try to help you, its been a while since I last used an ATI card (shame on me) but maybe if you can post the settings you have there I can help, things I can think of are setting antialiassing to lets say 8xmultisampling (really 8x, no coverage samples or whatever ATI calls these modes) setting ATI catalyst AI and adaptive AA to off, setting all optimisations to off (they result in less IQ for more perfomance which you don't need for thief) setting AF to 16X, using single display performance mode.

maybe you can post other settings available
O did you try those different DDFIX settings, running your monitor in native resolution, and trying to enable/disable safe_texture_manager in the user.cfg?

try installing ATI Tray Tools, I remember from my radeon9800PRO card that it had a lot of settings, and a lot of tweaks to make strange anomalies go away ;)

Hi guys,

Thanks for the response.
I reinstalled windows. Played with a whole bunch of settings. Still had anomalous textures and fan missions would all crash. Just for the hell of it I tried my old Nvidia 9800 GT and ddfix + darkwide.
Everything works perfectly and the FM's did not crash. I am about ready to trash the ATI and get the GeForce GTX 470. What do you guys think?

Since it's not really clear what exactly did not work with the ATI card, I'd recommend testing any new card first, e.g., by borrowing one from a friend, or something like that. If you don't, you might spend a lot of money just to obtain another card which will not work with your setup.
