Certainly she can <i>read</i> her own killphrase without exploding. Maybe she hacked a few computers herself to find out. Or maybe someone showed it to her to intimidate her.

Okay another question...
Where the Hell is the R & D guy and the door leading to the VersaLife back entrance? Can't find any damn thing in the canals.

How to get to the R & D guy is possibly the most stupid puzzle in the game. You have to go to Old China Hand, trough the kitchen into a freezer: up on the wall are gratings you'll use to crawl inside a shaft, from there to water etc. You better have Aqualung or upgraded swimming skills and/or a rebreather from a small side tunnel in the canal to make it.
Backdoor to VersaLife is in the end of Canal Road (when exiting Luminous Path compound, turn left).

^You wouldn't beleive how long I searched for that damn R&D guy, the first time I played DX. Probably five hours all up. And then I only found it by accident.

You'll know you've found the right place because the flooded tunnel has a baby karkian in it. To the right is a cave in with some 30.06 and a laser sight. To the left up the ramp are 3 more baby karkians and the R&D guy's body. He's carrying an aug upgrade canister.
