1. - The only things I ever found in the puzzle canal were a shrine, a bored daedra, and a headache. Rather disappointing considering the amount of time I spend going in and out of drains to find the shrine.

Very disappointing, the Puzzle Canal :erg: Like many others, I charged in eagerly waving my sword and expecting untold treasure and adventure, only to find featureless, circular sewers. I don't know why it was described as a testing ground/treasure trove in the first place.

My guess is that Bethesda originally intended for it to be more complicated, then changed their minds and simply forgot to fix the generic puzzle canal description. Irritating but not that suprising in a game the size of morrowind. Things are bound to be overlooked.
In my opinion, the whole puzzle canal concept was poorly contrived. There were no clues/explaination for the crazy network of drains and the "breathe the waters" clue inside was lame, at best. How many people would read that and say, "Of course! I must nearly drowned my character in order to pass this vaguely-described obstacle - <splash!>" I'd wage just about every person who reads that clue instantly (or eventually) thinks they need a waterbreathing potion, runs out to buy one, tries drinking it, tries dropping it in front of the altar, tries drinking it then leaping/levatating over to the blocked archway, and generally tries everything they can think of involving a water breathing potion, before finally giving up and searching the forums/walkthroughs. While I did think it was neat how they scripted the events to be triggered by your near drowning, that bit of coolness was not worth the frustration of the rest of the place.:p
Oh, well. I should simply be thankful that Morrowind is here at all and quit complaining.
I love you Morrowind!!!!:cheeky:

The misleading info on the puzzle canal may just be local lore that grew around it, either by deliberate misinformation or just kind of naturally, seeing as it's a legendary place and everyone's a bit scared of it, and so nobody's been there for ages, and all sorts of stories started to circulate- why should everything we hear from NPCs be the truth? Maybe they are not deliberately misleading, they just don't know any better.

1) one other thing. When i go to enchant things i always pay alot and get line nothing! it says that it "cant hold it" what the hell! it really makes me mad. how do i get it to hold more. There are gloves and stuff that can hold more than any of my gear. :ebil:

Different items have different echantment capacities. Look around on some Morrowind sites or this forum and you should find a list of enchant values somewhere. Exquiste clothes have high enchants and also some types of daedric swords, or so I hear. Daedric shields hold alot also.
Rather annoying in my opinion, because it would be nice to be able to make a nasty custom item using your favorite weapon type. Instead you're rather restricted in your choices and can't really add that much. I suppose it adds challenge and encourages you to quest for cool stuff, though. Still, I'd love to be able to make some really unusual, but nasty special weapon using the large piles of money I have collecting dust in my lair - like say, the Pickax of Doom!
