Is there any place I could buy UU1 & UU2.
I´ve played trough the Demo of UU1 about twenty times, and now I
would want the full version of it and UU2.
I truly have to get them.

Those graphics were cutting edge almost 10 years ago. :D I was playing UU1 when I should have been studying for the GRE. Then when I got ahold of UU2, I was skipping out of a lab. If you didn't get documentation with the games, you probably can find it somewhere on the web. I believe that the combo UU1/UU2 CD had the manuals in pdf.

Its been a few years, but I do rember firing up UU1 under Windows 98 SE. If I recall correctly I only had problems with the sound driver, which I believe I eventually resolved.

Well the demo worked on windows 2000, so I think the full version will work just fine with newer computers. And if it dont, (in my case) there is always that older computer just waiting for to be used again...
And about the graphics of the Underworlds:- They´re still great, after you get used to them.

Yes, those manuals are PDF in CD #2 of "The Ultimate RPG Archives" from Interplay (including the level 1 map!). I'd be happy to let others to download them, but doing so is not legal.:(

I was able to find a copy of UU1, among some other old DOS games, on a PC Gamer CD a while ago. I couldn't get it working in Windows 2000 though (issues with expanded memory differences between native DOS and Win2k's DOS emulation I believe). There's a patch available that supposedly lets UU2 work in Win2k, but I couldn't find any such patch for UU1. :(
If you can get a copy, there's open source projects in development to get UU1 and 2 running on modern systems, even using OpenGL for higher-res 3D graphics and replacing some of the game objects/characters with 3D models. None of them are completely playable yet, but they appear promising.
Underworld Adventures (UU1): (
http://uwadv.sourceforge.net/)
Labyrinth of Worlds (UU2): (
http://low.sourceforge.net/)
Underworld 2 Revival (UU2): (
http://uw2rev.sourceforge.net/)
Also, if you have a PocketPC, there's an official version of UU1 ported directly from the PC version by a company called ZIOSoft ((
http://www.ziosoft.com/)), which runs about $30US (I still dished it out though :p ). Even if you don't have a PocketPC, the manual for the PocketPC version is available on ZIO's site, which is helpful if you find the DOS version. :)
