This thread inspired me to try LIMBO. I guess this is exactly the sort of game called a pretentious platformer. It's pretty, but annoying.

You'd have noticed Bipolar game in last weeks. I didn't heavily promote it due to how little I got per sale.
You know, I thought I recognised that. Due to lack of time I only skimmed through last weeks bundles and didn't buy anything so it didn't register.
Ah well. I hope you got a bit of love anyway.

In terms of sales - Yes
In terms of $$$ - No
Day 1 of it was like 1,500 and something sales, but then my share of it that was like $100 and somethin. For the rest of the period it was on, there was another 300+ I think. As it's a pay what you like model, I assume that people were choosing to pay the bare minimum.
If that had been Steam proper proper sales I'd have made QUITE a bit from it. To give a comparison, 20 standard sales would have equaled the same amount for me $$$ wise.
That said, more people playing my game. Always a positive. To even have a game of mine on Steam in itself is something to be IMMENSELY proud of.
Goal 2 - Get another 1-2 games on there someday.
If the last game I developed (Dragon's Castle, a remake of the NES game "Dragon's Lair") had not been a remake then I would have submitted that as well. Good motivation to get to work on my other 100% original game (Block Attack) at some point.
