hi guys i'm new to this forum. Recently i've been trying to get fan missions to work on thief 2. i've installed darkloader and correctly entered in the mission directories and thief directories. I've installed a few FMs and entered them in the directory. Now if i click play, all it does is open the thief ii main menu and nothing happens. I've tried it with several different FMs but it does the same thing every time. I've tried clicking new game but it just starts the 1st level of thief 2 like normal. I do have convict.osm. I'm sure its something simple i'm missing but it seems none of the FAQs had anything adressed this problem.
I do have another problem though, with DromEd. I have everything set the way the forums told me to, i have the correct patch and latest version of DromEd. Every time i open Dromed, the same error pops up. No matter what i choose, yes, no or cancel, the program stops responding.
Here is the error message word for word:
Assertion Failed
Index 4 out of range (File: dynarray.h, Line 379)
(Yes to trap, No to exit, Cancel to ignore)

I have had the same problem for a while, I'm still unable to play the fanmissions. I have had Darkloader installed many times before, without problems, even on the same computer. But I just cant see what the problem is this time. Can anyone help?

Hey again. After searching the ttlg-forums, i finally found the solution, and wanted to share it with ya.
Using this thread: (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133763&highlight=darkloader) I found the help in this post:
"To avoid the problems Win 7 (& Vista) causes Thief and Darkloader programs when installed in 'Program Files' you should install them in a different folder like C:\Games (or a name of your choice) and separate subfolders for example
C:\Games\Thief2
C:\Games\Darkloader
This should move you forward even if it doesn't solve all your problems. If it doesn't there'll be others who can help you further". I hope it helps, good luck.
