First time playing system shock, spent about 2 hours trying to make it work, got it to work perfectly, thanks everybody in that thread about getting it to work. Spent another 2 hours trying to decide which occupation I should get, went with navy, hacking is the best thing ever. Playing on impossible, want the hardest challenge, and playing with no saves except for the autosave, which I cannot do anything about anyway. I made it to the place where you have to get rid of the radioactivity so you can get to the engine, "Purge" the place as the lady said it. The thing is, I had only about 3 points of health left, and I went into another level, you know the loading screen that separates different pieces of the ship, it autosaved, and then a zombie with a shotgun shoots me everytime. Can't to anything after it loads because he shoots me instantly. If anybody has a fix for this, like a sort of "teleportation" cheat so i can get to safety, "god" cheat or something like that, I really don't want to start all over. Thanks!
BTW, in part it is my monitors fault, it takes about 3 seconds after it loads to get me into the screen, it is black until then, refresh rate or something like that, and that doesn't allow me to go up there and smack that guy right in the head with a wrench. It is a small corridor, I cannot run anywhere for safety.

There is a hack for the menu resolution.
It will allow higher resolutions and avoid the pause between game mode and menu mode (originally runs only at 640x480) because the menu goes into the same resolution as the game.

No that is not the problem, it's just my monitor that is like that, even if there was no delay, I would not be able to get in 3-4 hits on the zombie before he kills me, no running away either.

LCD monitor, no way to fix it. If there was a fix, it still would not help, don't you understand? I die in one shot, he is like 10 ft away and blows me away, every action is futile. Is there any sort of cheats I can use?

Yes, create a file named user.cfg (where the system shock 2 exe is located), open it with notepad and type
undead
save, and close, start a new game, your health will go down at first but you won't die.

Be warned: There's no easy way to remove undead once it is applied, so you'll be stuck with an unkillable character through the rest of the game.
I get the black screen pause too. I've always suspected it is to do with having to have safe_texture_manager (or equivalent hack) applied since both of the previous machines I played it on did not need the s_t_m hack and did not have the pause occur despite using the same resolution and being a lot slower than my current machine.

So what is the hard way to remove it, I don't cheat in games except for in situations such as these, and unkillable main character the whole game kinda ticks me off.
