I dunno, I kind of like it, and don't mind the updates for 3 reasons:
1) He started off strong with a video, so we know there's more to the project than just vids.
2) There are aspects of that model (ripped clothes) which address suggestions raised earlier in the thread.
3) It's all contained within a thread which can be ignored by those not so interested.
I'm not trying to be ornery, just adding my tick in the "for" column.

Yep. Totally with your faetal. It'd be very different if we didn't know about the rest of the development though, like Do the Geek's stuff.
I hope this game makes it.

HUGE difference between Flux's project and the ones that dt cited - this guy has a solid idea, a team, and an actual working game that we've seen video on. There's no comparison to those other chuckers. Dethy, I don't know what your problem is, but most people here are actually interested in how this project is evolving. So don't speak for "us."

Yeah, I want to see how this project goes, because it seems to have its heart in the right place, and it's relevant to our interests. It's really good work, too.

Relax guys, if it wasn't for figures like dethtoll, ttlg would be a boring ground:p
Having programmer and animator on board, "should" be news for the one who knows a bit of indie game development scene.

Nice work so far, Flux. I hope you will manage to finish the game!
As for the zombie models I think it would be great to add even more damage (broken helmet visors, torn hoses etc) to them to make it more obvious that they are dead, which I guess would also make them more scary.
In any case keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Seeing what's been done without those dedicated jobs so far, the news for me is kinda that you folks are enthused by it. That means it must be a really big deal.

you are right, here is the correct re-wording;
Quote:
Having programmer and animator on board, "should" be news for the one who knows a bit of indie game development scene, since this programmer and animator will be working for royalties since they believe in the project and gearing up towards a "reasonable" kickstarter campaign.

Another vote for ignoring dethtoll - having contributed to this thread and spoken you outside, I am genuinely excited to see the new images and it's easier for me to just check this thread with bumps than follow yet another small indie dev site. :p Again, you're not nearly in the same ballpark as the other "tools" that were cited, so don't fret.
Anyway glad to see the project is shaping up and moving forward, looks like you guys have a solid idea now :)

For the record I am interested in the project. But oversized images of renders don't really tell us much. Give us map shots if you absolutely must show off assets.
