Hm I would recommend putting a page for it up on IndieDB, perhaps get the news attached to a group with loads of people in it like Indie Devs
(
www.indiedb.com/groups/indie-devs) and I suppose a few others relevant to your genre like science fiction fans (
http://www.indiedb.com/groups/science-fiction-fans)
Wouldn't hurt certaintly to have a place where people can get notified of smaller updates on a regular basis rather than just sticking to a funding site or your own website.

I've been paid, so have backed it, for what it's worth.

Better luck next time. :(

I hope for a relaunch, possibly with news articles worked out in advance, and maybe get a few quotes from Ken Levine or Warren Specter about how good the game looks, or something.

I don't think another KS would do it. Between the recommendations from big names and RPS articles and I don't know what else I think it got enough exposure, people just weren't swayed to back it. I think the problem is that the game doesn't really have a strong hook. It doesn't have a (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unique_selling_proposition) USP. It doesn't have anything about it that makes me feel like I
need to play it. Gotta admit, if I hadn't been following the development here for years and seen the hard work Flux and his team have put into it, I don't think I would've backed it either. But knowing that Flux and his team are the real deal, that what they're working on here is actually something with some meat on it's bones, and not just another videogame KS that'll go up in smoke half a year after successful funding, 6 bucks for the full game seemed like a bargain.
Flux, I hope you guys work something out.

Every single person (that's into this sort of game) that I showed the Kickstarter to loved it and backed it. They were all very confused why it wasn't getting more support, also. I really don't think what they had shown was the issue. It just didn't have much real exposure. Getting an RPS article or two doesn't count for much when the articles are buried. They need a bunch of sites to latch on to the news to really get the information out there.
Sure, revising the pitch video and the layout of the page could have helped a little bit, but the main issue is that there was almost no press coverage.

Hey guys, don't worry:) We're working fully on the game and the amount we need to finish can be achieved through other means, no worries.
We just couldn't get the our point across, I guess. £10.000 is for animations and voice & acting since most of the game is finished. But perhaps people are still skeptical about if we can finish it or not, we can and team's spirit in good frequency because of all of the support

At least this way you don't need to keep up with sending out a bunch of tier rewards too, leaving you more time to focus on the game :)

Will there be some type of donation campaign where we can donate to receive tiers of rewards?
