I may have to raise the vertex pools still. I did the subtracting, it would not work, the AI get stuck on the stairs and I have to taunt them to coronaries before they can slowly traverse the stairs. Well, I hope it can manage having so much if I keep the inn on, but it already has killer fps. It is like being a gorram newb all over again. :nono:

Do you have a doorway at the top and bottom of the stairs? If so, right click on it and select 'static mesh' then click on 'select doorxxxx (or whatever) in browser'. It will open the static mesh browser and there may be a box that is checked saying 'remove from navmesh'. This can remove the whole mesh from the navmesh, not just the parts that touch the floor, so uncheck it. You can make two small navmesh subtraction volumes and put them at the parts that touch the floor.
As an alternative to loading zones you may want to try out Judith's teleportation technique here :

The vertex pools are in the user.ini. Just try to increase the static vertex one by simple multiples (2x, 3x etc.). When you've hit one of the limits your mission will crash just before loading (in the game) is complete. Before that there's no need to alter them.
